Go on a healthy diet: Tea, smoking cigarettes or cigars, and wine are typical culprits to blame for dingy teeth.. but everyday colas and juices have the same impact on teeth. General rule is that if it’s dark, then it will probably stain your teeth. Brush immediately after eating or drinking foods for white and healthy teeth.
Eat firm & crispy foods: Making foods like apples, carrots, celery, popcorn, etc. the final foods in meal may help in cleaning teeth if you are not able to brush right after a meal.
Change your toothbrush: At least every two to three months, change your toothbrush or electric brush head, for healthy teeth. The recommended way to brush teeth is by placing the toothbrush at an 45-degree angle against your gums and gently moving it in a circular motion… avoid brushing too hard.
Clean your tongue: More effective than brushing your tongue is to use a Tongue Scraper to remove plaque and freshen your breath.
Brush with baking soda: Once a week brushing with baking soda helps remove stains and whitens teeth.
Stay fresh: Keep your mouth and breath fresh with a sugar-free mint or alcohol-free mouth wash (to avoid drying out mouth tissue)
Floss: It doesn’t take long and is essential for a healthy mouth… floss at home, at your desk, in the car, while in bed, and before important meetings.
Brush when getting up and going to bed: These are two most crucial times. It’s recommended to clean plaque & bacteria off before sleeping and to clean off any plaque & bacteria that may have built up as you slept!
